About This Event
1-3 PM: CAD 101: Intro to Digital Fabrication with Autodesk Fusion 360
- Learn the basics of 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and bring your ideas and concepts into the digital design environment of Autodesk Fusion 360;
- Open to beginners with no 3D design experience whatsoever.
4-6 PM: Intermediate CAD & 3D Printing: Digital Design Best Practices with Autodesk Fusion 360
- Learn more tips and tricks for creating robust CAD models in Autodesk Fusion 360, and for bringing them to them to life with 3D printing;
- Recommended for beginner/intermediate CAD users with experience software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360. Beginners can stay for this after CAD 101.
7-9 PM: Next-Level CAD: Advanced CAD & 3D Scanning Best Practices
- Learn how to use a free 3D scanning smartphone app (123D Catch) to scan a physical object, and advanced CAD techniques in Autodesk Fusion 360 to build a CAD model around this scanned data. This is a powerful workflow for replicating objects or designing parts that interface with existing parts or structures;
- Recommended for intermediate or advanced CAD users, or highly motivated learners.
