PhilPapers
Description
PhilPapers is a comprehensive index and bibliography of philosophy maintained by the community of philosophers. Using advanced trawling techniques and large scale crowdsourcing, we monitor all sources of research content in philosophy, including journals, books, open access archives, and personal pages maintained by academics.
How do I access this database?
If you have already registered for a PhilPapers account and added North Carolina State University as your affiliation:
- Visit PhilPapers and select the "Sign In" link in the upper right of the screen.
- Sign in with your previously-created PhilPapers username and password.
- Be sure to login to your account when you search for materials. When you click on a book or article title, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see a link that says "Find it @ North Carolina State University". This will authenticate you and help you find the titles in the libraries collection.
If you have not yet registered for a PhilPapers account and/or added North Carolina State University as your affiliation:
- Visit PhilPapers and select the "Create an account" link.
- Enter name and email address and choose a secure password. At the bottom of the page, click Submit.
- Click the PhilPeople link in the top menu. This will show your PhilPeople profile.
- Scroll down the menu on the left side of the page to find the Add your affiliations heading and click the edit button next to the heading with a pencil on it.
- In the Affiliations window, click the Add another affiliation button.
- Under Academic institution, choose North Carolina State University and under role choose your role and then click Save.
- Be sure to login to your account when you search for materials. This will authenticate you and help you find the titles in the libraries collection.
