Request a Device

Many technology devices are available to borrow at the Ask Us desks, including laptops, chargers, and calculators, without needing to place a request. To borrow other items for academic or research purposes, you can submit a request with this form.

You can borrow most requestable devices for 7 days.

We will email you about the status of your request as soon as we can, usually within 2 business days (Mon–Fri). We'll confirm the pickup location with you over email.

Requesting a laptop? There's no need to fill out this form. Laptops are only available to borrow for 24 hours from our Ask Us centers — just ask for one at the desk.

If you're requesting a laptop, you don't have to fill out this form — just go to the Ask Us desk at any of our library buildings and ask for a Dell (Windows) or Apple laptop. You can borrow a laptop for 24 hours only.

What to know about borrowing a Legacy Gaming Kit

  • Allow 2 business days for us to process your request.
  • Wait for us to confirm by email.
  • When the kit is ready, you'll pick it up at the Hunt Library (Centennial Campus).

Providing additional information helps us to process your request. Let us know here if there's an acceptable substitute for the device you're requesting, if you have questions about the suitability of the device for an assignment, etc. 
If you are requesting a device that requires an academic purpose (such as a VR headset or micro projector), please include that information here.

By submitting this request, you, the patron, agree to the following:

  • I understand that I need to return all borrowed devices to the correct lending library myself and that staff will complete a checklist upon their return.
  • I acknowledge that the borrowed devices have complete kits at the time of checkout, and I can only return complete kits, unless I accept responsibility for missing parts.
  • I understand that there are no online renewals and that I must wait 24 hours to check out the same or similar devices to ensure equitable access to the Libraries' limited supply of these popular items.
