The committees of the College of Veterinary Medicine reflect the goals of the College to advance the veterinary profession and animal health through ongoing discovery and medical innovation. The North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine was established in 1978. It admitted its first class of students in August 1981, dedicated its main facility in April 1983, and graduated its first class of veterinarians in May 1985. It is one of the top ranked veterinary colleges in the country.
