Institutional Research (which originated in the Chancellor's Office) merged with University Planning (originally in the Provost's Office) to become University Planning and Analysis. This unit collects institutional data in support of long-term planning, assessment, and policy development on the NC State University campus. Its publication Institutional Research Notes changed title to UPDATES in 1993.
