The records of the North Carolina State University Forestry Club contain the constitution and by-laws, meeting minutes, issues of the Club newsletter, Slabs and Edgings, and other general information about the Forestry Club and their activities.

The North Carolina State University Forestry Club was established in or before 1931 by undergraduate students studying forestry at NC State. The Forestry Club was responsible for funding and publishing a semi-annual newsletter, Slabs and Edgings, which was first issued in 1938. The Forestry Club remained active at NC State as of 2008.
