Also included are records of Swine Husbandry Extension. Materials range in date from 1920 to 2012. Beginning with research and programs in animal husbandry during the early years of the university, the Department of Animal Industry was established during the 1920s. In 1962, it became the Department of Animal Science. Throughout its history, the department has overseen work done through the research stations, the experiment stations, and 4-H.
