Biographical/historical note

The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service (and the earlier North Carolina Agricultural Extension Service) gives the state's residents access to the resources and expertise of NC State University and NC A&T State University through educational programs, publications, and events. During the twentieth century it produced drawings and plans of agricultural buildings and equipment for North Carolina farmers and other citizens. People could order the plans by number, through the office of their local Extension Service agent.

Scope/content

Contained in this collection are blueprint reproductions of architectural plans for a four-room house (dated September 1940), a five-room house (April 1941), and a six-room house (December 1940). For each house there are three drawings, and a total of nine drawings in the collection.
