Herbert Emerson "Skeet" Atkinson (1908 - 1995) was a member of the 1929 North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering basketball team, which won the Southern Conference Championship. He graduated from N.C. State in 1933, and played a large role in organizing the 1979 reunion.
