The Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior is a U.S.-based nonprofit which provides nutrition educators with resources and support. This collection contains a diverse range of SNEB's publications, videos, annual reports, directories, and other materials created between 1970 and 2016.

Biographical/historical note

The Society for Nutrition Education was formed in 1968 with George M. Briggs as its first president. In 1969, they began publishing the Journal of Nutrition Education. In 2011, "Behavior" was added to the name making it the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior.

SNEB supports the needs of nutrition educators across the United States. Through research, policy, and education, SNEB empowers a diverse range of professionals, (https://sneb.org/about, accessed 12/15/2025). In addition to publishing the Journal of Nutrition Education, they host the yearly Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior Conference, advocate for legislation supporting better nutrition and sustainability, and provide training and networking for nutrition professionals (https://sneb.org/about/history, accessed 12/17/2025).

The Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior Records include publications, conference materials, videos, curriculum guides, newsletters, annual reports, and nutritional education materials.
