The drawings include original plans from the early 1920s by Hobart Upjohn, architect, and Charles F. Gillette, landscape architect, as well as alterations from 1938 by Eric G. Flannagan, architect.

Hobart Brown Upjohn (1876-1949) was a New York architect who gave North Carolina an extraordinary number of church and educational buildings, nearly 50 in all, and over 40 during the 1920s alone.

This collection contains blueprints for the Roanoake Rapids High School in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. The drawings include original plans from the early 1920s by Hobart Upjohn, architect, and Charles F. Gillette, landscape architect, as well as alterations from 1938 by Eric G. Flannagan, architect.
