The Haddad Collection of Books (1863–1975) contains nineteenth and twentieth century books and periodicals. The collection includes literary and religious works, poetry collections, historical studies, dictionaries, and community publications produced in the Middle East and the Arab diaspora during the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
The materials document a wide range of intellectual, cultural, religious, and social topics, including Arabic literature and poetry, religion, language, history, education, immigration, and cultural identity. The collection includes works by Arab writers, poets, journalists, religious figures, and community organizations, as well as publications associated with the Mahjar literary movement and Arab immigrant communities. Periodical holdings include literary and cultural journals such as Al-Mawahib, Al-Akhlaq, Al-Islah, Al-Jadawel, and Al-Sa'ih al-Mumtaz. The collection also contains publications related to Al-Rabita al-Qalamiyya.
These materials provide valuable documentation of Arab literary and cultural production, religious thought, community life, and the exchange of ideas between the Arab world and diaspora communities during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
