Feature Data Layers obtained November 21, 2000
The following county-wide feature data layers are available for Wilson County. The data are in shapefile format, State Plane 1983/feet. The CD-ROM was released October 30, 2000 with some followup data Nov. 21, 2000. NOTE: Parcels are also available as an .e00 file dated 11/21/00.

Digital Orthophotos
As of November 2000, digital orthophoto flights had been conducted most recently in 1995. The original data is in BIL format. This data is available in the Libraries on 13 CD-ROMs. The entire county was flown at '400 scale. Developed areas were flown at 200' or 100' foot scale, with some overlap. MrSID compressed versions (10:1) will be available as individual files and as mosaics in the near future. Data availability by image resolution is shown below:
Image index shapefiles (wils100.shp, wils200.shp, wils400.shp, and wils1200.shp [overlap areas]) for each resolution are available on the Geodata server at: ftp://geodata.lib.ncsu.edu/localgov/Wilson_County/2000/Vector/Disk2/ (data in State Plane 1983/feet).
