Digital Orthophotos
Digital orthophoto flights were flown during Spring 1996; reflights of selected areas were done in the Spring of 1997. The photos are black and white, and produced for base mapping at scales of 1:1200, (resolution 1 ft/pix; 6-digit numbers) and 1:4800, (resolution 4 ft/pix; 4-digit numbers). The photos are referenced to the North Carolina State Plane Coordinate System; North American Datum 1927; units feet. The photos were flown by L. Robert Kimball & Associates, Ebensburg, PA. The accompanying world file (.tfw) for each image is compatible with and formatted for use with the ESRI product line of Geographic Information System (GIS) software.
