GIS Lookup: Detailed Data Layer Listing

Title: "NC Animal Operation Permits" (2003)

Description: The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Water Quality developed the digital Animal Operation Permits data to define the location of animal operation permits throughout the state.

Animal Operation Permits were generated from an Excel spreadsheet. The resulting point locations were not verified or checked for accuracy. This digital file is updated as changes occur.

Spatial data accuracy varies greatly in this data layer due to the inaccuracy of some latitude/longitude coordinates used for compilation.

See also in the same folder "Animal Permit Extract 6-3-05.xls" This is a more recent Excel spreadsheet with lat/longs of Animal Operations.
