Dr. Martin Luther King made an extraordinary impact on our state’s and our nation’s struggle for civil rights. This impact can now be experienced and understood anew at NC State University, September 16-17, 2016, through a series of public events, featuring a Friday evening performance at the Talley Student Union by renowned actors Danny Glover and Felix Justice—as Dr. King and Harlem Renaissance poet Langston Hughes—and an immersive experience at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library showcasing three innovative projects. Dr. Jason Miller's documentary film Origin of the Dream and audio restoration project King's First Dream, and Dr. Victoria Gallagher's highly innovative and interactive vMLK Digital Humanities project. The event also features a conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winner David Garrow, and art work by Synthia SAINT JAMES.
