Workshop Description
As an accompaniment to his talk, John Samuel, co-founder and CEO of the Triangle based digital accessibility and inclusion company, Ablr, will facilitate a workshop that will introduce participants to designing for assistive technology. Participants will learn how to use a screen reader and will walk through the process of conducting a web accessibility assessment.
The demonstrations will be done in iOS. Participants are encouraged to bring an iPhone or iPad so that they can follow along. If you do not have access to an iPhone or iPad, you can borrow one from the Libraries. Alternatively, John will also be sharing his screen and narrating his actions so that participants can follow along that way as well.
You can register for John's talk, which is taking place at 12pm on April 8th, here.
