IRB Basics Part I: An Introduction to the IRB process at NC State

This workshop provides a basic overview of IRB history and operations. It is designed for individuals with little to no background in human subjects research practices at NC State University and serves as a foundation for all other IRB workshops offered through the NC State University Libraries, including the IRB Basics: Part III - eIRB Application Workshop.

Those that come late or leave early will not be marked complete for the workshop nor receive a completion certificate.

NOTE: The IRB Basics: Part I workshop content has been revised for the Spring 2023 semester. All question-by-question eIRB application content has moved to the IRB Basics: Part III - eIRB Application Workshop.  Participants must attend and participate fully in the IRB Basics: Part 1 workshop to qualify for registration into the IRB Basics: Part 3 - eIRB application workshop.
