- Creativity Studio at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library
ChemDraw Professional is a software tool that is primarily used to draw chemical structures. It can also be used to obtain chemical analysis information such as molecular properties and predicted 1H and 13C NMR shifts. This workshop will cover the basics, including how to draw simple to complex chemical structures such as polymers and how to format the structures so that they are acceptable for scientific presentations and publications. Individuals attending this workshop will also learn how to import/export chemical structures, how to obtain chemical properties of the chemicals, and more.
This workshop will be very interactive and requires the use of a laptop running a Windows-based or MacOS system. Some laptops will be available for use. No prior experience using ChemDraw Professional is necessary. Scientists and non-scientists are welcome to attend. This workshop is highly recommended for chemists and biologists in research.
