During the summer months, the Libraries offer a “mini-tour” in the Hunt Library for K-12 groups on a space-available basis. The mini-tour includes a demonstration of the bookBot and stops at the Immersion Theater and Technology Showcase. Because the library must provide a quiet atmosphere, the mini-tour will not include study areas within the library security gates.
During the school year, when classes are in session and the library is in regular use by students and faculty, we are only able to offer these mini-tours to K-12 groups on a very limited basis.
We require a confirmed advance reservation and at least one adult to accompany every 10 children. All tour requests should allow for a minimum of two weeks' notice. Without proper lead time, we might not be able to find a guide to accommodate your tour as our availability is limited. Please note that no self-conducted group tours are permitted.
If you find that you are not able to attend your scheduled tour, please provide at least 24 hours' notice as a courtesy to your guide. You can contact us by email at email@example.com or via phone at 919-515-3313 to cancel.
