Libraries Fellow Alexa Carter was one of eleven winners of the 2018 Library Assessment Conference Travel Awards. The award, which covers registration to the annual conference plus $1,000 toward travel costs and workshop fees, is offered to students and early-career professionals from historically underrepresented racial and ethnic groups who have demonstrated a strong interest in assessment and have the potential to contribute to the profession by deploying and developing innovative assessment and evaluation methods and strategies.

After traveling to Houston last December, Carter blogged about her conference experience, which left her feeling “inspired, intrigued, and curious.” Read Carter’s full conference report here.
