Students move in, 1973

With another summer in the books, some students may be feeling a little down about returning to school for another semester of hard work.  The University Archives would like to remind them however, that they do not have to post these Regulations for Dormitories on their doors anymore, as students did in 1905:

From the Azariah Graves Collection (MC 00249), Halfbox 1, Folder 4. Graves attended the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (later NC State) from 1905 to 1909.

Some things to be grateful for: no swept and tidy rooms required by 8 AM, no signing the "liberty book" to go out at night, and no military uniform required.  However, students may do well to remember "to avoid whatever wastes time and money, or damages health and character; to do unto others as you would be done by."
