What a productive semester it has been for our Instruction and Outreach efforts! We're thrilled to share a brief recap of the work we've accomplished in partnership with faculty and students across the university.

Record-Breaking Engagement

We concluded the semester having led a total of 48 instructional sessions and events. This high level of engagement demonstrates the strong commitment of our campus community to integrating essential research and information literacy skills into the curriculum.

The majority of our work was dedicated to in-depth instruction sessions, which accounted for 34 of our total sessions. We had the pleasure of hosting classes from a diverse range of departments, tailoring our content to meet the specific research needs of each discipline.

We partnered with the following departments this term:

  • Architecture
  • Art & Design
  • Design Studies
  • History
  • Public History
  • Anthropology
  • English
  • Africana Studies
  • World Languages
  • Honors

From exploring primary source materials for Public History and Africana Studies to navigating design-specific databases for Art & Design and Architecture, our librarians worked hard to make information discovery and analysis relevant and impactful for every student.

Outreach: Connecting Beyond the Classroom

Beyond formal class sessions, we successfully executed 14 outreach events. These events allowed us to connect with students and faculty in a more casual, engaging format, often focusing on promoting new resources, highlighting unique collections, or providing quick research help during busy times of the semester.

Thank you to everyone who participated! We look forward to building on this success and continuing to support the research and learning mission of the university next semester.
