Is it your turn to win Campus MovieFest?

Last year the NC State team of Nicholas Sailer, Josh Bielick and Tim Reavis won the trip to Hollywood, had their film screened at Cannes, and brought home the "best picture" and "best director" awards at the Campus MovieFest International Grand Finale for their film The Strong One .

Let's make it a tradition.

Everything you need to make your own film

Campus MovieFest (CMF)--the world's largest student film festival--is back at North Carolina State for a 5th year, giving you an opportunity to show your prowess and make a short film that could be your own first step toward Hollywood glory.

Sign up for CMF and you'll receive everything you need to make a five-minute movie--including an Apple laptop with iMovie, Final Cut Pro and Adobe CS6, a Panasonic HD video camera, training, and technical support--all for free.

Register online and pick up your equipment at the D. H. Hill Library

Any student or team of students at North Carolina State University is welcome to participate by simply signing up online before Wednesday, February 13th at and submitting a brief story idea.

Then on February 13th you can pick up your equipment from 12-5 p.m. in D. H. Hill Library Ground Floor Reading Room and go for it. You've got a week. Entries are due Tuesday, Feb. 19, when they will be judged by a panel of N.C. State students, staff, and faculty.

It's a great opportunity to learn about filmmaking--with the chance to win great prizes and exposure including cash, Hollywood pitch meetings, and more. In addition, the top North Carolina State University movies are shown at a one-night-only Red Carpet Finale held in the Campus Cinema in the Witherspoon Student Center on February 23rd .
