Marie Arana

Ms. Arana is the editor in chief for the Washington Post’s Book World, a Senior Advisor to the US Library of Congress, and a frequent guest columnist for the New York Times.  She is recently the author of Bolivar, and she chaired the 2013 Pulitzer Prize committee for the Fiction award.  She wrote the story of Senna, a Peruvian girl who lives gold mining town of La Rinconada, for the groundbreaking documentary Girl Rising.
