Each database has a very different focus and scope, so please read the descriptions carefully to find the right database for your search. A proper search on most topics will include the use of multiple databases.

Description
Academic Search Complete A multi-disciplinary database which has some education titles not included in ERIC.
Business Source Complete A good database for topics such as training and development, human resource development, online learning, and instructional design.
Dissertations & Theses (Proquest) Citations and abstracts of doctoral dissertations at all U.S. accredited institutions and some Masters' theses and foreign dissertations.
Mental Measurements Yearbook This resource provides basic information (date of publication, publisher information, etc.) as well as full-text reviews of many tests.
PsycInfo (EBSCO) A psychology database which contains both practictioner and scholarly journals. A helpful resource for educational psychology.
Sociological Abstracts Sociology and related disciplines.
The Web of Science Includes Social Sciences Citation Index. A useful resource that can track bibliographies and citation patterns in the social sciences.
