This subgroup also contains some materials distributed by the national office of Pi Tau Sigma, primarily issues of their annual publication, The Condenser of Pi Tau Sigma. Pi Tau Sigma is the international mechanical engineering honor society, the purpose of which is to establish a means of fellowship and communication between individuals who study and practice mechanical engineering. North Carolina State's chapter, the Pi Alpha Chapter, was established in 1942, and is open to mechanical engineering students who either rank in the top 25% of their class as juniors, or top 33% as seniors. Graduate students in mechanical engineering at NC State whose undergratuate universities did not have a chapter of Pi Tau Sigma are also allowed to join. The Pi Alpha Chapter remained active at NC State as of 2008.

MoreThe records of the Zeta Beta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi include a 1958 Pledge Director’s Manual from the national organization in addition to national and chapter materials from 1970s through the early 1980s. The national Alpha Delta Pi Sorority was established in 1851 as the Adelphean Society at Wesleyan College. It was the first secret society for college women. In 1905, the Adelphean Society's name was changed to Alpha Delta Pi. Chapters were installed at a number of colleges in the following decades, although the mother chapter was closed in 1916. The Zeta Beta Chapter at North Carolina State University was colonized in 1969 and installed in 1971, after an apparent false start in the late 1950s. The Zeta Beta Chapter remained active as of 2008.

The North Carolina Chapter (NC State's chapter) was established in January of 1904, and is the oldest agricultural society on campus. The materials reflect the club’s membership, activities, and achievements, as well as developments in animal industries from 1949 to 1975 and from 1985 to 1987. North Carolina State University’s Animal Science Club was started as the Animal Industry Club in 1936 by students interested in promoting livestock industries in North Carolina, and in providing interactions among students, faculty, and livestock producers. The name of the club was changed to the Animal Science Club in 1962 or 1963. The organization participated in a variety of professional, service, and social activities, including assorted programs, suppers, dances, competitions, and conferences. The Animal Science Club remained active as of 2008.

The Arab Club was established in or before 1958 at North Carolina State College (University) to act as a social organization for students of Arab background, as well as to promote Arab culture and heritage throughout campus at various events and activites. The Arab Club appears to have changed their name frequently, being known alternately as the Arab Students' Organization of Raleigh, the Arab Student Organization, the Arab Student Club, the Organization of Arab Students, and the Arab Student Association, though the name "Arab Club" is the name they most commonly used. The Arab Club remained active at NC State at least through 1989, though appears to have since disbanded.

The organization made its first application in the spring of 1963. After corrections were made to the by-laws, the North Carolina State University Christian Science Organization received organization status in the fall of 1963. North Carolina State's chapter of the Christian Science Organization remains active as of 2008.

The Collegiate 4-H Club at NC State was founded in 1940 as a supper club to foster fellowship among 4-H members at State College, to promote citizenship and leadership, and to acquaint members with Extension work. It was accepted into the Tri-state Federation of Collegiate 4-H Clubs in 1941 and remained active on campus until 1943. It was dissolved in 1944 and reestablished in 1950. Members engaged in a variety of activities including fundraising and community service projects. The club also participated in state, regional, and national Collegiate 4-H conferences. The Collegiate 4-H Club remained active at NC State as of 2008.

The Engineers' Council was established in or before 1926 at North Carolina State College (University), to act as a represtative undergraduate student organization for all departments within the School (College) of Engineering. The purpose of the Engineers' Council was to provide a unified student voice within the School of Engineering, while also promoting the study and practice of the various disciplines in engineering. While the records of the Engineers' Council do not indicate gaps in the Councils' activity, the Council may have disbanded at some point and reformed in 1987, according to their current (as of 2008) website. The Engineers' Council remains active as of 2008.

MoreThe records of the North Carolina State University chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity include the original petition for formation of the chapter, the constitution and by-laws, financial information, meeting minutes, membership rosters, other general information about the chapter and chapter activities, as well as various items issued by the national FarmHouse office, including handbooks and assorted publications. The purpose of FarmHouse Fraternity is to act as a national, non-Greek organization promoting brotherhood between students of good academic and moral standing, primarily those students whose career interests include an emphasis on agriculture. In 1952, a FarmHouse Club was established at NC State by professors in various agricultural disciplines who brought with them to State their own experiences with being members of FarmHouse at the universities they studied at as undergraduates. After a two-year probationary period as a "club," the NC State group applied to the national FarmHouse office for chapter status in 1954, and the university was granted a chapter in 1955. FarmHouse remains active at NC State as of 2008.

MoreThe records of North Carolina State University chapter of Gamma Sigma Delta include nominations, awards, notices and memoranda, correspondence, membership lists and directories, and financial information, as well as brochures, event programs, organization newsletters, and files on the organization compiled by Dr. J. L. Etchells of the Food Science Department. Gamma Sigma Delta began in 1905 as a professional agricultural fraternity called Delta Theta Sigma. The name was officially changed in 1913, and in 1915, the organization merged with the Honor Society of Agriculture. Members of the international organization petitioned for recognition of a campus chapter at North Carolina State College (later North Carolina State University) in 1954, which was approved in 1955. After a slow start, the organization grew rapidly and undertook a variety of activities, including honoring achievements of students and faculty, meeting with freshmen during orientation, sponsoring a tutoring program, and participating in the Biennial Conclave. NC State's chapter of Gamma Sigma Delta remains active as of 2008.

MoreThe records of the Golden Chain Honor Society include their constitution, meeting minutes, member and recepient rosters, correspondence, financial information, induction banquet programs, yearbooks, and other general information about the society. The Golden Chain Honor Society was begun after a student wrote an article in the Technician, proposing the idea of forming an honor society exclusive to NC State which would recognize several seniors who had excelled academically as students during their time at the university, but who had also demonstrated leadership and service to the university and in the community. The Golden Chain Honor Society was formed in 1926, and 12 senior students were selected to be the first members of the "golden chain" of exceptional NC State students. Thereafter, up to 12 rising seniors were selected in the spring of their junior year to form the next "links" in the "golden chain," and were recognized at a "tapping" ceremony at the end of their junior year. The Golden Chain Honor Society remained active as of 2008, at that time having just shy of 900 members ("links") in the Chain.
