Samuel B. Tove (1921-1994) of Baltimore, Maryland, was a researcher and professor of animal science and biochemistry at North Carolina State University from 1950 to 1987. A renowned authority on lipid metabolisms, he was a William Neal Reynolds Professor and chair of the Department of Biochemistry.
