This collection contains an oral history interview with William L. Flournoy, Jr. that was conducted by Gwynn Thayer in 2017. Included is a full transcription of the interview. William L. Flournoy Jr., Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects, is one of the first individuals to propose a greenway system plan. Flournoy is a graduate of North Carolina State University (B.S., Recreation and Parks Administration, 1966-1969; Master of Landscape Architecture, 1969-1972) and worked for the Wake County Planning Department and the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
