They also include reports to the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education with information on the college's organization, courses and programs, facilities, and policies. A School of Education was created at North Carolina State College in 1927, but it was changed to the Department of Education in 1931. The School of Education was re-established in 1948. By the 1990s it had become the College of Education and Psychology. It remained under that name until July 1, 2001, when it became the College of Education. The Department of Psychology moved to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
