They also include records of N. C. State’s Air Science and Tactics Department and the Military Science and Tactics Department. The North Carolina State University’s Reserve Officer’s Training Corp (ROTC) is a group of four campus programs, the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps which train officers of the United State armed forces in basic military and officer training. The ROTC has had a presence at the University since 1894 and is currently in conjunction with NC State University's Military Science Department.
