MoreThe North Carolina State University Libraries, Metadata and Cataloging Department Records include statistics, policies and procedures, meeting minutes, and other files related to departmental activities, 1970-2002. The Metadata and Cataloging Department (formerly Cataloging and Catalog Department) has existed since at least 1925. The department provides tools that assist library patrons in locating information resources, either locally or remotely through the Internet. These information resources are organized and maintained in all formats, providing prompt access to the user. In 2012, Metadata and Cataloging merged with the Acquisitions Department to become the Acquisitions and Discovery Department.
