Mendenhall Street is a frame, two-and-a-half story Colonial Revival residence with a hip roof. This house was nominated to be on the National Register of Historic Places. G. Will (George Williamson) Armfield (1849-1927) was a Greensboro architect and contractor who turned to full-time architecture and building in the late 1890s or 1900s. His best known work is the Alumni Hall (1914) at the Oak Ridge Institute in the village of Oak Ridge in Guilford County.
