The records of the Department of Psychology include newsletters and other publications, a memo on the department's move to the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, student handbooks, meeting minutes, and other general information about the department's activities. Materials range in date from 1940 to 2010. Psychology courses were first offered at the North Carolina College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (later, North Carolina State University) in 1915. The Department of Psychology was established in 1927, and was later incorporated into the College of Education.
