Records include information on the Education Professions Development Act (EPDA) and Elementary-Secondary Education Act, which sponsors internships and fellowships. Also included is a plan to advise the North Carolina State Board of Education on education policy matters. A School of Education was created at North Carolina State College in 1927, but it was changed to the Department of Education in 1931. The School of Education was re-established in 1948. By the 1990s it had become the College of Education and Psychology. It remained under that name until July 1, 2001, when it became the College of Education.
