MoreThe records of the Office of the Chancellor at North Carolina State University during Randy Woodson's administration contain invitations and cards, congratulations certificates for Chancellor Woodson's installation, the daily correspondence of the Chancellor's Office, and the official website of the Chancellor. In July of 2015, the Chancellor's Office went paperless with all documents being stored in a digital document management system. William Randolph (Randy) Woodson is the fourteenth chancellor of North Carolina State University. He received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in horticulture from the University of Arkansas and Cornell University, respectively. Woodson began his academic career at Louisiana State University in 1983, and joined the Purdue faculty in 1985 as a professor in the Department of Horticulture. Woodson served as head of the Department of Horticulture until moving on to administrative positions at Purdue, first as the associate dean of agriculture and director of the Office of Agricultural Research Programs from 1998 to 2004, and then as the as the Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture. In May 2008, Woodson became the executive vice president for academic affairs and provost, his final position at Purdue before being named to the Chancellorship at NC State on 8 January, 2010.
