I'm not from NCSU. Is there a way I can check out materials from your library?

First check to see if you are in any of the borrower types listed on our Patron Types page. If you are not, we cannot check out materials directly to you. Instead, you have the following options:

  • We have interlibrary loan relationships with many other libraries. You can contact your public library or college library to inquire about making an interlibrary loan request.

  • The public is welcome to visit our Libraries and conduct research, read, scan (free), and/or photocopy ($0.10 B/W) our materials. Information for visitors, including maps and hours are linked from here. Note that entry into Libraries after 10pm is not allowed for anyone without a valid Wolfpack One card.

  • Members of Friends of the Libraries who have purchased Borrowing Privileges may check out books and have limited access to online resources per licensing agreements. See additional borrowing and privileges details here in the dropdown list under Friends of the Libraries. Further questions about FOL membership and online access should be directed to the FOL office at (919) 515-2841 or friends_of_the_library@ncsu.edu.
