I'm having trouble locating a book on the shelf. What can I do?

1. Ask library staff for help locating the book.

You can reach us in person at the Ask Us center or via chat, text, or phone. Just Ask us!


2. Request a book search by placing a hold on the book.

Library staff will place a hold on the book and search for it. You will receive an email that we have found it or that your hold has been canceled. You can request staff put a hold on the book for you at the Ask Us centers in the D. H. Hill and Hunt Libraries or at any branch library.


3. Request an item via Tripsaver

Make sure you note in the comments field on the request form that you could not locate the copy we're supposed to have. Note: You cannot place Tripsaver requests for textbooks.
