How do I add online materials to Course Reserves?

FAQ Search

Articles you’ve found online, pictures, or scans of book chapters or other physical resources should be uploaded as PDF files.  If you already have the files, you can add them yourself. Otherwise, library staff can create high quality, searchable scans that you and your students can access online.

Requesting a PDF or scan

  1. Click on the name of the class and section you want to add files to
  2. Click on “Add Materials” in the middle of the top of the page

  1. Click “Place a Request With Reserves Staff”
  2. Fill in the Title and Author fields, making sure to include an edition number if there are multiple publications of the book

  1. Click the dropdown menu under “Type of Reserve” and select “Online Excerpt”
  2. Fill in the remaining fields, making sure to indicate the pages or chapters you want scanned.  If you need anything extra, such as footnotes or appendices, let us know in the “Notes for Reserve Staff” box.

OR

If you have a copy an item you’d like us to scan for you, just bring the item to the Ask Us desk at either DH Hill or JB Hunt library and fill out a short form with your name, the course to which you’re adding the scan, and the pages you’d like scanned

That’s it!  We’ll take it from there!
