The Shoah Visual History Archive is accessible only through NCSU campus computers. Students, staff, and faculty can access the archive here. [Note that in the Libraries' website, it is listed in the A-Z list of Databases under it's official name, Visual History Archive, so it's under V in the A-Z list of databases.]
If it will be your first time using this resource, you will be required to register within the database.
If you are not affiliated with NCSU Libraries, you can still access the database by visiting D. H. Hill Library.
While some videos within the collection are instantly accessible, others may take up to 48 hours to become available once a request has been submitted. If you are planning a visit to access Shoah, and know already of the particular individuals of whom you wish to research, you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org stating which person's videos you would like to view in order to have the video requested for you in advance of your arrival.
Visiting researchers should ask Learning Commons staff to assist with computer access in order to access the database.
For non-NCSU affiliates, please bring personal headphones with you.
