Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell me about the course reserve service and e-reserves?
The NCSU Libraries' reserve service is used by faculty to ensure course reading material is available. You may check out reserve materials for short loan periods (2- and 3-hours, and 1- and 3-days are commonly used) using your NCSU ID. In recent years, the Libraries has made a large percentage of reserve material available in digital format, as e-reserves. This allows students to remotely access course reserves via the Libraries' website and to view these materials without loan period restrictions.

- How can I get a copy of a description of a course I took at NC State several years ago?
- I've got a list of references that I would like to add to the course reserves. Can I just send the list to someone to have them added, or do I need to fill out a new online form for each reference?
