Frequently Asked Questions

Why are copies of some of my current textbooks found in the Special Collections Research Center?

The Special Collections Research Center maintains a collection of "NCSU Faculty Publications." We collect and preserve archival copies of all the books written by faculty in recent years. Since these are "archival copies" we strive to preserve, photocopying is not permitted. However, access copies of these resources are available for library use only in the Special Collections Reading Room. When entering the Reading Room, the Faculty Publications are on the wall to the left. In order to locate an item, the call number is needed.
