Dr. Celia Hodent has a PhD in Psychology, and grew up playing a lot of games, including video games. Now, she is the director of user experience for Cary-based Epic Games, the company responsible for the billion-dollar blockbuster “Gears of War” franchise. She will discuss how Epic uses rapid-response research, technology and design to improve users’ gaming experience.
Following her talk, Dr. Hodent is conducting a workshop where participants will play and analyze video games using a user experience framework.
