Tags: databasescitation management, journal articles, literature searching, refworks

Join NCSU Librarians and campus partners to learn about important research skills for graduate students, postdocs, faculty, staff, and undergraduates doing research.

In this session, you will learn how to do effective literature searching using search tools tailored to your area of research.  Avoid fruitlessly wasting time with unfocused Internet searches and learn to use professional tools and search strategies.  Workshop will cover a general research database while pointing out subject-specific tools relevant to audience. You will also have an introduction to how to use citation management tools such as RefWorks and Zotero.  These are free, essential tools to keep your information saved and organized, as well as help you share references with colleagues and generate bibliographies automatically.
