NC State Gaming and Esports Lab, Hunt Library
Please join NC State University Libraries for Raiders of the Lost Arcade, our inclusive gaming series which is part of Making Space. We will be playing a curated selection of games for platforms including Steam, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X, which explore different ways that video games can illustrate diverse narratives, aspirations, and life experiences.
Our focus for this event will be Stories of Grief. Video games have become a powerful medium for exploring complex emotions and themes, including grief. We will highlight games that provide interactive and immersive experiences and allow players to engage with grief on a deeper level, fostering empathy and understanding. They showcase the unique ability of video games to convey complex emotions and narratives in a compelling and interactive way.
Free and open the public.
