"The North Carolina Collection, a department of the Special Collections
located in Wilson Library on the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill campus, contains over a quarter of a million published items
related to North Carolina and its people. Holdings range from a sixteenth-century
volume to the most current issue of the campus newspaper. Fiction
and non-fiction books are included, as well as pamphlets, newspapers,
journals, newsletters, maps, broadsides, microforms, and audiovisuals.
County and municipal histories, city directories, telephone books,
