The William Rand Kenan, Jr. Library of Veterinary Medicine is located west of the main NCSU campus across from the NC State Fairgrounds at the College of Veterinary Medicine, 1060 William Moore Dr., Raleigh, NC 27607.
Consult the Campus Map for directions to the College. The College of Veterinary Medicine is a stop on the free Wolfline Bus #6 Carter-Finley line. There are also several city bus stops nearby -- see Go Triangle TripPlanner and under Find A Stop, choose Popular Locations, then NCSU Campus Buildings, then College of Veterinary Medicine (NCSU).
Visitors to the main CVM Building and to the CVM Research Building will find some visitor-designated spaces in the C permit lots. Visitor parking permits for 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday can be purchased from NCSU Transportation. There are also some accessible spaces for disabled visitors. Follow the instructions on the CVM Map and Directions Page. Free parking is also usually available at the Fairgrounds across the street from the CVM.
Once you are at the College, follow the Pedestrian Walkway signs to the brick walkway and enter the main building, go downstairs, through the doors, and turn right. Service animals are the only animals allowed in the Veterinary Medicine Library.
Assisted Entry: The Veterinary Medicine Library is also accessible via an elevator from the main entrance to the lower level for disabled patrons or deliveries. A receptionist provides access to the area containing the elevator Mon-Fri from 8 am to 5 pm. For access during the other hours when the Library is open, please call the library service desk at (919) 513-6218 and a library staff person will provide access to the elevator for you. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will also arrange to deliver requested materials to the main entrance.

In the Veterinary Medicine Library, books are shelved together at the south end of the library according to the Library of Congress classification system. Journals are shelved together at the north end of the library alphabetically by title.
