1925: The Agricultural Extension Service (now Cooperative Extension Service) held Short Courses to disseminate new information about agriculture to the people of the North Carolina. Through the Farm Women’s Short Course, the Home Demonstration program trained rural women on techniques for growing and canning food and on other home economics activities.

1949: This image, published in the September 1949 issue of State College News (the alumni magazine), shows Riddick Engineering Laboratories under construction. The building was recently renamed Riddick Hall, now that it no longer houses departments of the College of Engineering.
