Tripsaver FAQ
What is Tripsaver?
Tripsaver includes:
- Interlibrary Loan (about)
- Satellite Shelving Delivery (about)
- Distance/Extension Delivery (about)
- Campus Book Delivery (about)
- Document Delivery (about)
Tripsaver offers you the ability to check the real time status of your requests via the Web at any time from any location without having to call Interlibrary and Document Delivery Services. It also simplifies the requesting process. You only have to log in once to place numerous requests.
How do I access Tripsaver ?
Follow the "Tripsaver" link from the Libraries' main page. You will log on to the Tripsaver request system just as you do now for our electronic resources (ejournals, databases, Course Reserves, My Borrowing Record...) through the Unversity's Wrap/Authentication method.
What Web browser should I use?
You need a Web browser that can handle forms and tables. You need to have your browser cookies enabled and popup blocker software disabled for this site.
Is security a problem if I use a public workstation?
Yes. Web browsers cache information and create a history file on the local workstation.
Subsequent users of the workstation could use the BACK button to access Tripsaver under your name. To avoid this problem, close the Web browser before leaving the workstation.
What is Web Delivery?
Web Delivery is the posting of requested articles to the web for access by you. You can read more about Web Delivery on the Web Delivery Information page.
Who do I contact if I have problems or questions?
Interlibrary and Document Delivery Services at 919-515-2116 or interlibrary@ncsu.edu
