The NCSU Libraries provides laptop and netbook computers for in-building use by students, faculty, and staff of NC State University. Patrons must present a valid AllCampus Card to borrow a laptop or netbook.
Borrow/Renew
Laptops and netbooks may be borrowed for use in D.H. Hill Library from the circulation desk and from the circulation desks of the branch libraries.
Laptops and netbooks are loaned for a four-hour period, on a first-come, first-served basis, and may be renewed once. Borrowers are responsible for any loss or damage to the laptop or netbook, which includes the cost of repair or replacement. Renewals may be completed in person at the Circulation Desk or online.
Connectivity
Wireless networking is available in the D. H. Hill Library and the branch libraries.
Fines & Charges
Overdue laptops will accrue fines at the rate of $10.00 per hour (or any portion thereof) with no maximum fine. There is a replacement charge and processing fee for loss or damage to the laptop or its peripherals. These charges will be subject to the same collection procedures that are used for fines or fees for damaged or lost library materials.

We also have Apple, Lenovo and universal laptop power adaptors available for borrowing without a laptop.
Security
Do not, under any circumstances, leave laptop computers or any valuables unattended in the library. The Libraries is not responsible for lost or stolen laptops and any other items.
If a fire alarm sounds and you are unable to return the laptop before you evacuate, please take the laptop with you and return it when you reenter the building.
Usage
Library laptops are intended for university-related use, in accordance with NC State's Computer and Network Use Policy.
